Chaparral Park

Chaparral Park of Scottsdale is a 100-acre park near the Indian Bend Wash, and provides a 10-acre lake for fishing and boating. The city of Scottsdale is planning to construct a 29-acre addition to Chaparral Park, which will include – 2 lighted multi-use fields – and an off-leash activity area for dogs!

Chaparral Park is by far the most popular dog park in the Scottsdale area, and is absolutely worth a trip if you’ve yet to go. Your dog will thank you, for sure. There’s a huge off-leash area divided by active and passive dogs, so you even have the option to choose which area you want to have your best friend runaround in. The area will be enlarged to approximately 4-acres! The off-leash area will be lighted for evening use, and is completely fenced-in.

Additionally, a covered seating area and restrooms are provided along the northeast side of the park. The parking lot is definitely large enough to fit many dog lovers looking to have some fun with their best friend. We’ve been taking our dogs to Chaparral Park for several years now, and we still consider it to be the best place to have some fun and meet new people and their dogs. Get out there and enjoy Scottsdale Parks!
