Let it Rain & Then We Train: The SIT

The weather today has made Boris a little bit frisky, so in this Blog we'd like to talk about some training with Scottsdale BARK.

Let it Rain&Then We Train is about simple commands with your dogs. And, the importance of each command being used on a consistent basis.

First of all, it's never too early nor late to teach your best friend to SIT. Boris must've been just about 7-weeks old when he began to learn the command, which is very important for all dogs to know. Let's face it -- puppy's are hyper animals -- so it's vital to gain control before things get out of control.

When in doubt -- tell your pup to SIT. Give it a try the next time your pup is acting up, and see what happens. Even if they don't stay in the SIT stance for too long -- it's a great way to redirect their negative energy elsewhere. The SIT command should be the first one that you and your new best friend needs to work on. The results will be beneficial for all!

Remember, dogs are pack animals, so let's make sure they're not the first ones in the pack. The pack leader needs to be YOU.

Let me know how your sit command is working out. Good Luck, the time put in will be worth it!
